Women in Aviation International is thrilled to offer the 2022 WAI scholarship program featuring a variety of career pursuits. Scholarships include funding to further members' interests in aerospace engineering, aviation maintenance, flight training, helicopter ratings, dispatch, and professional development.
Applications are due October 12, 2021, and you must be an active WAI member by October 1, 2021, to apply. The 2022 scholarships will be awarded during the 33rd Annual International Women in Aviation Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, March 17-19, 2022.
Envoy Air Future A&P Mechanic Scholarship
Envoy Air will award one $5,000 Future A&P Mechanic Scholarship to a qualified WAI member who is working toward his or her A&P license. Funds will be paid directly to the school, and training must be completed within one year from the date of award. Scholarship recipient will also be guaranteed an A&P mechanic interview upon successful completion of Envoy’s hiring requirements. In addition to the Future A&P Mechanic scholarship, Envoy Air will host the recipient with attendance to the WAI2022 Annual Conference (including hotel, conference registration, and air travel). In a 500-word essay, applicants must address the following three questions: How would this scholarship help you achieve your career goals? Why did you apply for this scholarship? What aviation activities/organizations have you been involved in?
