NBAA - Cheri Rudd Memorial Scholarship
Cheri Rudd Memorial Scholarship
About:
NBAA, in coordination with NBAA Charities, has established the Cheri Rudd Memorial Scholarship to benefit business aviation professionals in search of advanced customer service training.
The scholarship was created to honor the memory of Cheri Rudd, an NBAA employee and the voice of NBAA for almost 30 years. Her dedication and commitment were an inspiration to all who benefited from her direction and assistance.
NBAA Charities will annually award up to $2,500 to several business aviation professionals. Applicants must show a passion for life-long learning and demonstrate superior customer service skills, as Cheri Rudd did.
Awards will be made to U.S. citizens or permanent residents without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, personal appearance, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, family responsibilities, genetic information, disability, matriculation, or political affiliation.
Award Amount:
Funds of up to $2,500 to attend professional training with a particular emphasis on customer service. There will be up to two awards each year. Examples of training within the scope of this scholarship award include, but are not limited to: NBAA Leadership Conference, NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference, Disney Institute, Ritz-Carlton, NBAA PDP Courses. For all NBAA Charities scholarships, applicants are limited to receiving one award per person, per year. Scholarship recipients must use the funds by Dec. 31, 2024.

Candidate Requirements:
- Target Applicants are business aviation professionals who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to customer service, life-long learning and helping others.
- U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident Status
- Completed application package, which consists of, 1. the essay 2. a summary of career/work experience 3. two signed letters of recommendation that speak to the applicant’s dedication to customer service and life-long learning.
- Application package must be submitted by the application due date of August 13th 2023, to be considered.
