Graduate Certificate in Evaluation

The Graduate Certificate in Evaluation is designed to prepare students to understand and work on evaluation teams and with evaluation-related activities. The Certificate consists of five, three-credit hour courses (15 total credit hours). Students who complete the program will be able to work on evaluation teams and with evaluation-related activities in the workplace as well as in external evaluations. Learn more.

The Graduate Certificate in Mixed-Methods Research seeks to credential students for the growing need for sophisticated research skilled personnel to conduct and summarize social science research. Graduate students in this applied program will develop knowledge and skills related to designing, conducting, and analyzing mixed-methods research. This certificate program consist of five, three-credit hour courses (15 total credit hours). Graduate Certificate in Qualitative Research Methods

The Graduate Certificate in Qualitative Research prepares students with skills in qualitative inquiry design and analysis able to generate, collect, prepare, and analyze the expanding array of qualitative data, and to produce written reports aligned with the expectations of their specific disciplinary audience. This certificate program consists of five, three-credit hour courses (15 total credit hours). Undergraduate minor

Undergraduate Minor in Leadership for Social Change

The undergraduate minor in Leadership for Social Change is a 15-credit hour program offered through the Department of Educational Leadership, Research and Technology in the College of Education and Human Development. The Leadership for Social Change minor complements a variety of academic majors and encourages students to become leaders who advocate for positive social change and to consider the role of leadership through the lens of their major field of study. Throughout the courses, students will explore their own leadership strengths, practice applying leadership theories to current societal issues, and develop a leadership philosophy that connects their personal passions with their academic major. The ultimate goal of this minor is to help students understand how they can make a difference and how they can provide leadership in a diverse society.

The seven critical values of the social change leadership model (2017) are: consciousness of self, congruence, commitment, collaboration, common purpose, controversy with civility, citizenship and change. Learn more.
