Your True Self
The staff at Sindecuse Health Center want to meet you at your true self. When you are ready, you may change your name in our electronic health system and indicate your gender identification and preferred pronoun.
Taking a few easy steps will give us the information needed:
- Login to the patient portal healthmanager.wmich.edu.
- In the “Profile” section, edit the fields for name, gender identification and preferred pronoun.
When you change these items through the health center patient portal, only the health center has a record of your changed name. This information does not migrate to other campus systems. For the rest of the University to use your name, you will need to change your "WMU preferred name" through GoWMU.
