Flu shots available at the WMU Student Center Nov. 8 and 9
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Western Michigan University Sindecuse Health Center nurses look forward to seeing students and employees seeking flu shots at the WMU Student Center for events over two days in November. Only influenza vaccines will be given at the student center events. All flu shots given are quadrivalent and preservative-free, including high-dose shots available for those 65 and up.
Students
A student drop-in clinic is planned for Wednesday, Nov. 8 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Students may stop in and receive a flu shot. Staff will collect insurance information and bill insurances, but students without insurance receive free flu shots with a generous grant funding from Alana’s Foundation. No student will have any out-pocket cost for these shots. Look for the student clinic on the main level in Room 2207 next to the Gathering Stairs.
Employees
An employee-focused drop-in clinic is planned at the Benefits Wellness Expo on Thursday, Nov. 9 between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. WMU faculty and staff may stop in while they are attending the expo. This clinic will be located near the expo check-in table at the ballroom entrance.
